| We try to respect the privacy of our customers in the strongest ways possible. First, we collect telephone numbers for our own purposes only. We do not rent our customers' telephone numbers. We do, however, rent our print catalog mailing list. You may write us a note at anytime (or call us) and indicate that you do not wish us to rent your name and address. We keep this information in our database. However, it is address specific (and you know how literal computers are!) If you have any doubts, please call us with the address in question in hand (misspelled, extra spaces and all). We'll find the specific address. We will mail you ISLA, but we won't rent your name to other companies. On the other hand, if you like catalogs (I do!) you don't have to do anything - your name will be among those available to rent. Now, if you are a person who doesn't like to get any catalogs - Isla or otherwise - your best bet is to contact the DMA - Mail Preference Service, P O Box 9008, Farmingdale, NY 11735-9008 (P.S. They have the same thing for telephones!) Give then your name and address, and that will get your name removed from almost all the mailing lists. It doesn't happen overnight (in fact you'll see the effect in about three months), but it will save you a lot of hassle calling each and every catalog you get and asking them not to send you another one. If you like some catalogs, but not others, then your best bet is to call the ones you don't like instead of using the DMA service. Privacy and the Internet In the course of our business with you on the internet, we do not collect any additional information from you other than the information you give to us in the placing of your orders. We use this information for our own marketing purposes. Again, your name and address will become part of our customer list, which we do rent to other mailers. However, we do not rent e-mail addresses or telephone numbers. This information does constitute an asset for our business, and in the case the company or business is sold to another owner, the new owner may acquire the rights to use the data, without restrictions. |
