This is hand-made pique,* the traditional hot sauce of Puerto Rico.

The recipe for this gourmet sauce has been passed down through generations of Puerto Rican owners of the
Hacienda Santa Clara, which was established in 1846. The hot peppers, onions and garlic are all grown on the hacienda and chosen for their freshness and flavor, before being blended into this exceptional sauce. Use it to bring out the flavors of broth, meat, poultry and stews. Naturally, rice and beans wouldn't be the same without it. Try and taste the difference!
