Kamila is a 9-year-old girl who lives with her parents in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. The family is very close, especially since Kamila's grandmother lives only a few blocks away. Life goes on normally, until a family matter requires Kamila's mother, Stefany, to travel to the United States to spend a few weeks helping her sister recover from surgery. Although the mother's absence is a nuisance to normal family life, the situation is further intensified by the imminent arrival of Hurricane Maria, the storm that decimated many islands in the Caribbean. Learn how this family prepares for the storm's arrival and copes with its consequences.
